Sophie Anderson writes fiction about families, secrets and emotional change. Her novels The Butterfly Garden and The Sapphire Cove were published by Bookouture.

Before writing novels she worked in television production in London and in marketing for a software business. Her stories use evocative settings to explore relationships and the past’s influence on the present.

The Shell Daughters draws on her family’s history and the women’s internment camp on the Isle of Man during the Second World War.
