ABOUT ANITA
Anita Pandolfo writes television, film and theatre. She co-created BBC police drama The Cops with Jimmy Gardner and Robert Jones, and created ITV’s paramedic series Picking Up the Pieces. The Cops won two BAFTA awards and two RTS awards.
Her television writing includes Casualty, Holby City, The Bill, Red Rock, The Mill, The Vice and Outlaws. She was also part of the original development team for Spooks, bringing experience of both established series and the creation of new television worlds.
Alongside broadcast drama, Anita has developed original pilots, thrillers, films and comedy with independent producers. She wrote and directed the short Not So Super, and her theatre work includes Sugared Armour, Maids of Suburbia and Penile Dementia. Her writing often centres on flawed and misunderstood characters, examining the personal consequences of social and political pressures.
