Ben Trebilcook writes action, thriller and espionage stories for film and fiction. His screen work includes the short You Know Me, directed by Darren Kent, alongside original feature projects and development writing.

Ben has written westerns, sci-fi and comedy, for independent producers and those with ‘blockbuster’ budgets. He produced the indie sci-fi Doomsday for genre director Neil Johnson. For ten years, Ben was head judge at The Rob Knox Film Festival, whose subject matter is the basis of a ITV documentary. Ben was also a teacher for twenty years in a South London referral unit, teaching and mentoring the most challenging young people in the area consisting mostly of gang members and young offenders.

He also taught refugees and teenage soldiers from war-torn countries, autistic and special needs children, self-harmers and abused teens. His first novel, the thriller My name is not Jacob Ramsay, focused on this time, which he intends to bring to the small screen. Ben has written four novels and one screenwriting book.
