R. David Becker is a writer and producer whose career began in entertainment law before he turned to screenwriting. His work includes the PAGE-award-winning feature screenplay The Cellist of Sarajevo, inspired by cellist Vedran Smailovic.
His screenplay The Road to Painted Hills won Best Screenplay at the Global Film Festival Awards in November 2024 and the Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature Screenplay at the American Filmatic Arts Awards in February 2025.
