Shaira Berg is a writer, producer and filmmaker, and co-founder of Shy Girl Productions. Her work explores human psychology and women’s experiences through film and theatre.
She wrote and produced Gaslight, which began as an Off-West End Award-nominated play before being adapted for film. Her writing and directing work also includes Habits, a short film exploring grief, pregnancy and obsessive-compulsive behaviours through a speculative setting.
Alongside her creative work, she completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge, collaborating with game studio Ninja Theory on immersive behavioural neuroscience. That research informs her interest in memory, trauma and the ways people experience the world.
