Isabelle Stead

Isabelle is a BIFA-winning writer, director, producer and author based in Yorkshire. She began her career as a script reader and assistant at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and has developed and produced fiction and documentary with filmmakers from around the world.

Her credits include Son of Babylon, Iraq’s official Academy Awards submission, The Journey and In My Mother’s Arms. Her work also includes Irkalla: Gilgamesh’s Dream, which premiered at Locarno and screened at Toronto.

Her projects have received support and recognition from the BFI, Sundance Institute, British Council and BBC Writersroom. She was selected as the UK’s EFP Producer on the Move at Cannes and is an alumna of Sundance and EAVE.
